SugarCRM did a fantastic job upgrading the Calls module in version 7.6. As a telephony integration product, we are happy to see the new UI implemented for calls. However, this upgrade did include a bug that, while kind of annoying, is easily resolved by applying email rules to your inbox.
The bug: Call assignment notifications are emailed each time a call is logged
There are 2 bug reports for this issue. The first was opened when the issue was discovered. A fix was proposed and released with SugarCRM 7.1. However, this fix did not work and a new bug report has been opened.

SugarCRM is working on the issue. In the meantime, if you would like to stop receiving these notifications, we recommend creating an email filter in your mailbox to route these notifications to your trash folder. Below is an example filter for GMail
