Google Chrome normally updates installed extensions automatically. When you see the news about a new extension version and extension is not yet updated, you don’t have to wait for Chrome to perform automatic update – you can perform update manually (force update).

1. Type chrome://extensions into Chrome address bar and click Enter. You’ll see page with list of all installed Chrome extensions.

2. Check ‘Developer Mode’ checkbox to enable Chrome Developer Mode.

3. Click ‘Update extensions now’ button to update all extensions.

You can see installed version next to extension name on same page.

When you click on Details, you can see additional details like extension size, description and permissions.
