Founded in 2004 and based in Plano, Texas, Fonality started operating as a subsidiary of NetFortis, Inc in 2017. It has additional centers in Makati City, Philippines; North Sydney, Australia; and Culver City, California. Sir Terence Headley Matthews, a Welsh-Canadian billionaire, founded Mitel Networks Corporation in 1973. The company, headquartered in Kanata, Ontario, initially produced TDM PBX systems. Now, the company has transitioned into providing VoIP products and cloud-based unified communication services and collaboration software. In December 2016, it was acquired by the Siris Capital Group owned Xura (currently known as Mavenir Systems) in a $385 million deal.
Mitel communications solutions provide a hosted phone system and cloud contact center to help companies cut down on their communications costs.
