Jive Communications is a hosted VoIP and unified communications company headquartered in Orem, Utah. Founded in 2006, the company now has more than 500 employees. Recent acquisitions have helped to fuel the company’s growth. In 2015, Jive acquired Speek, a Dulles-based company that enabled virtual conference rooms though a link rather than a dial-in. In the same year, Jive also acquired Easy Office Phone. The Ontario-based Easy Office Phone offered hosted PBX. The Easy Office Phone employees were incorporated into Jive’s recently formed Jive Canada division. Jive continued to grow through 2017 when the company announced that it was adding 200 new employees and constructing a new headquarters in Utah County.

Jive has a suite of cloud-based communications services. Jive Voice is a cloud-based phone system that enables hosted VoIP features such as unlimited voicemail boxes and auto-attendants. The online portal allows business to develop custom schedules for time-based call routing. Jive Voice also offers Find Me/Follow Me, which enables businesses to create flow charts for incoming calls. If the first person is unavailable, Jive will route the call to the next person on the list. Jive Voice functionality is available through three methods: Jive Mobile, Jive Desktop, and Jive Web. For cell phones and mobile devices, Jive Mobile is an application that enables employees to access calls, voicemail, video, chat and text through a single interface. Employees can also use Jive Mobile to set up Geo-fencing, location-based rules that turn “Do Not Disturb” mode on or off. Access to Jive Voice functionality is also available through Jive Desktop, which can integrate with multiple CRM systems like Redtail. Jive Desktop also has presence monitoring so that you can see if a contact is available before placing a call. Jive Web allows access to all these Jive Voice features through a web browser. If companies prefer physical phones to access Jive Voice, Jive offers partner phones from Polycom and Yealink.

Jive has received several awards for entrepreneurship, culture and community service. Frost and Sullivan presented Jive with the 2014 North American Hosted IP Telephony and UCC (Unified Collaboration and Communications) Services Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Awards. Jive CEO John Pope was also nominated as the 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year. Jive has also received awards for its culture. It was ranked as the No. 1 VoIP company to work for in 2014 based on ratings from Glassdoor. The company is also active in the local community and recently received a Live United award for employee participation in Sub-for-Santa.
