When it comes to making real sales, a script is the last thing you want

Sales scripts are often utilized by call centers that are specialized in selling a specific product, or group of related products. Rather than having a true sales conversation, where a customer’s needs and wants are catalogued, a sales rep will follow a script of talking points and questions to lead them to the end goal of purchasing their product. Sales scripts are often very detailed, but don’t allow for any deviation during a call, and thus are not used by companies with true sales cycles.
